Security Guard Arrested in Niger State for Allegedly Stealing Vehicle Under His Care

The Niger State Police have arrested Henry Musa, a security guard, for allegedly stealing a vehicle entrusted to him in Anambra State.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, Musa was arrested on July 2, 2024, with a Toyota Camry suspected to have been stolen from Anambra State.

The suspect was found with duplicate documents attempting to sell the vehicle in Niger State.

“The Police operatives quickly mobilized to the area and took the suspect into custody with the vehicle,” Abiodun said.

“During interrogation, Musa confessed to being a security guard at a hotel in Awka, and that the vehicle’s key was entrusted to him by the owner. However, he decided to steal the vehicle and was attempting to dispose of it in Dikko.”

The suspect is currently under investigation and will be transferred to SCID for further investigation and prosecution after the investigations are complete.
