FOUNDATION DONATES START-UP TOOLS TO 2,000 YOUTHS, WOMEN AFTER VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN KANO

It was gathered by Hobnob News reports that a non-profit organization, Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation (BLCWFF), has empowered no fewer than 2,000 Kano youths with relevant vocational skills.

This is just as the Foundation also provided the trainees with tool kits and cash to enable them quickly their own businesses, with a view to boosting their productive capacity.

Emergency Digest equally gathered that another 2,000 youths were equally inducted into the next cycle of the vocational training and empowerment program by BLCWFF.

The President, Founder and National Coordinator of the Foundation, Ambassador Dr. Samira Abubakar Abdullahi, disclosed this today at a graduation ceremony for the beneficiaries, in Kano.

In her welcoming address, the President emphasized that, ever since its inception in 2021, their Foundation has been focusing on boosting and improving the lives of women, youths and children by equipping them with the relevant skills to thrive in this ever challenging economic environment.

She said despite the funding constraints coupled with economic hardships, the Foundation remains resolute and committed to discharging its mandate to target population in respective of ethnic or religious affiliations.

She enjoined them to use the skills they acquired in developing themselves financially while at the same time contributing the overall economic development of their communities.

“Today has been a remarkable day for us as we witness the graduation of this cohort under our economic empowerment program. I therefore, seize this opportunity to call on the beneficiaries to adequately utilize their knowledge, skills and expertise gained during the training program in becoming financially independent.

When properly utilized, thes skills have the capacity to guarantee your means of livelihood and extend the same to members of your immediate communities,” She said.

Ambassador Samira Abubakar also tasked the new entrants to pay attention and gather their thoughts as they delve into the journey of economy and financial independence.

She said: “You should pay proper attention to every detail while undergoing this training so as not to undermine the goals and objectives of the exercise. You must excel just like your colleagues who graduated today.”

The guest speaker of the event, Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Ardo Umar (Jarman Gaya), thanked the founder of the organization for her empathy and passion for helping the people in the society.

 He said the dividends of this remarkable milestone will continue to have impacts on the society for the younger and upcoming generations.

“When you teach people skills on how to fend for themselves in this harsh economic situation, you are certainly building the entire society.” Jarman Gaya eulogized the Founder.

Apparently, while reviewing some of their achievements, a senior director of the Foundation, Alhaji Bashir Bataiya, revealed that the organization has conducted  many charitable activities within and outside Kano state aimed at improving the lives of youths and women as well as the vulnerable in society.

“Prior to this, we have conducted several skills and acquisition programs in Kabo Local Government Area, LGA, in Kano as well as Zaria LGA in Kaduna State.

“It will surprise you to learn that all these funds were sourced internally by the founder without support from the government or any organization.” He added.

Therefore, he called on the government, wealthy individuals, philanthropists and other stakeholders to help in supporting their cause aimed at achieving the mandates of the foundation.

The high point of the event was a fundraiser for the foundation in order to enhance its charitable activities across communities.
