Rescued 137 Kaduna Schoolchildren Arrive Government House

 

 

The 137 schoolchildren who were recently abducted from Kuriga village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have finally been reunited with their families. The relieved and emotional children arrived at the Government House in Kaduna on Sunday, amidst tight security.

 

At approximately 2:09 p.m., the schoolchildren, who had been held captive for a harrowing period, were brought to Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House. The children were transported in five buses from the 1 Division Nigerian Army Headquarters in Kaduna. The intense security surrounding their return aimed to ensure their safety and prevent any further danger to their lives.

 

The successful rescue operation was a combined effort by the Nigerian Army, alongside other security agencies, who have been tirelessly working to secure the release of the abducted children. The government had made it a top priority to ensure the safe return of the children and apprehend the criminals responsible for the shocking act.
