BENUE HOSPITAL OFFERS EMPLOYMENT TO POS OPERATOR FOR REPORTING FRAUD

The Chief Medical Director of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, has offered immediate employment to Mrs. Patience Agene, a POS vendor, for reporting fraud at the hospital.

While commending Mrs. Agene for her honesty in exposing staff members who were diverting funds meant for the hospital into personal accounts. Dr. Hwande emphasized the importance of all transactions being conducted through official BSUTH accounts to uphold transparency and integrity.

According to the CMD, the gesture is aimed at inspiring not only Mrs. Agene but also other Nigerians to prioritise accountability and accuracy in their actions.

Hwande noted that among all the POS vendors summoned by management, Mrs. Patience stood out as the sole voice of truth.

The Chief Medical Director revealed that the two staff members implicated in the fraudulent activities were apprehended and handed over to the police for necessary legal action.

While urging the patients of the hospital not to transact with POS operators, the CMD instructed hospital security to bar any external POS vendors from operating within the institution.
