Oshiomhole’s Candidate, Dennis Idahosa Protests, Demands Cancellation Of Revised Edo APC Primary

Dennis Idahosa, one of the aspirants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Edo State on February 22nd, has protested at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

Idahosa is demanding justice after initially being declared the winner on February 17, with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma endorsing his victory.

Expressing discontent with the subsequent cancellation of the election, the APC chieftain threatened to take legal action if justice is not served.

The politician In a plea to President Bola Tinubu, urged him to call the APC NWC to order and reinstate his candidacy as initially declared by Governor Uzodimma.

The APC, following the annulment of the two primaries that produced Idahosa and Okpebholo, had appointed Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State to oversee a fresh primary, resulting in the selection of Monday Okpebholo as the party’s candidate.

Okpebholo was said to have secured victory with 12,433 votes against eleven other aspirants, while Idahosa garnered 6,541 votes in the process overseen by Otu, the Chairman of the Revised APC Edo Gubernatorial Election Committee.

The primary recorded a total of 41,784 votes, with 31,863 accredited voters and zero invalid votes.
