In the wake of a tragic accident that claimed the lives of innocent civilians in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has firmly denied any religious or ethnic cleansing in the state. The incident occurred when the Nigerian Army mistakenly bombed the village during an operation.
Senator Sani addressed concerns surrounding the accidental bombing during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Friday. He reassured the public that the unfortunate incident was not part of any orchestrated plan to target specific religious or ethnic groups. Instead, he stressed that it was an unintended consequence of the military operation.
Expressing his condolences to the affected families and the entire community, Senator Sani urged the public to remain calm and avoid any form of reprisals. He emphasized the need for investigations to identify the circumstances that led to the accident, in order to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
The Governor further stated that the state government would collaborate with relevant authorities to provide assistance, support, and compensation to the victims and their families. He also assured the public that measures would be put in place to prevent a recurrence of such tragic accidents in the state.
