In a tragic development, Alhaji Adamu Fika, CFR, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, has passed away. The 90-year-old former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) breathed his last on Tuesday night, as announced in a statement by the Secretary of the Fika Emirate Council Potiskum, Ali Gimba Fika.
Alhaji Adamu Fika, affectionately known as the Waziri of Fika, was a highly respected individual within his community. Born and raised in the town of Fika, Yobe State, he dedicated his life to education and administration. Throughout his career, Alhaji Adamu Fika made significant contributions to the development of the education sector in Nigeria.
At the time of his passing, Alhaji Adamu Fika held the position of BOT Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), an influential socio-cultural and political group in northern Nigeria. His leadership and guidance were highly valued by the organization and its members.
To honor his memory and pay their last respects, funeral prayers for Alhaji Adamu Fika will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, 25th October 2023, at 4:00 PM at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.
