It was gathered by Hobnob News reports that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, the first child of Portuguese football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, has signed a contract with the Al-Nassr Under-13 team.
This means that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr will henceforth train and play under-13 tournaments with Al Nassr under-13 team and could be promoted to older teams within the club as he progresses.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr will officially commence training with the team in the coming days. The 13-year-old Portuguese youngster is expected to wear shirt number 7 while at the club, which is his father’s trademark shirt number.
Note that 38-year-old Ronaldo is fond of making his son train and play with the youth teams of any club he is contracted to.
Recall that when he was at Real Madrid, Juventus, and during his second spell at Manchester United between 2021 and 2022, his 13-year-old son played for the developmental teams of the clubs.
Hence, he was expected to continue with that trend at Al Nassr which he joined in December 2022 after his acrimonious exit from Old Trafford. However, it took him months to finally permit that to happen.
According to an interview that Cristiano Ronaldo granted in 2022, his son’s goal is to play on the same team as his father. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was quoted as saying: “My son tells me: Dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!”.
With how the young man is developing, if Ronaldo continues to play professionally for two to three more years, his son could achieve the dream of playing on the same professional team as his legendary father.
Note that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr (born through surrogacy) is the first child of Ronaldo’s five children, Mateo and Eva (twins born via surrogacy), Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda (born by Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez).
