Boko Haram Top Commander Gunned Down By ISWAP In Sambisa

A notorious Boko Haram commander in charge of Sambisa and Gwoza enclaves, Ali Gana Alhaji Ali, has been killed by members of the Islamic State West African Province, ISWAP, on Gwoza Hill, in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

Ali, one of the deadliest terrorist leaders in the Northeast, was reportedly killed on Sunday when the ISWAP fighters ambushed him.

Ali is notorious for killing several victims in Sambisa and some other parts of Borno State, before his death on Sunday.

A security source said:

“He was the deputy of the late Ali Ngulde, and apart from Shekau, nobody killed human beings like him from Sambisa forest and Bayan Dutsen Gwoza.

“He was a crude killer. His foot terrorists in Gwoza areas constantly instil fear in communities, farmers and commuters along Pulka, Bankin, Bama and Gwoza Mubi routes.

“They take no prisoners, and people are slaughtered in their farms on a weekly basis. Gwoza people will surely celebrate his demise,” the security source said.
