Edo State is a state in Nigeria with a population of over 6 million people. Our state has a long history of education, but there are still many challenges that need to be addressed.
As an aspiring Governor for Edo State, Dr Dennis has plans to make a real difference in the lives of young people by improving the quality of education in the state.
Some specific steps that Dr Dennis plans to implement to improve education in Edo State include:
Increased funding for education: Dr Dennis believes that is the most important step that the next governor can take to invest in the future of the state. He has reiterated that education is a right, not a privilege, and the government has a responsibility to ensure that all children have access to a quality education.
Recruit and train better teachers: The quality of education in any state is only as good as the quality of its teachers. Dr Dennis has made it one of his top priorities to recruit and train better teachers if elected Governor of Edo state. This includes providing teachers with ongoing professional development opportunities with and outside Nigeria.
Improve school infrastructure: Many schools in Edo State are in need of repairs or renovations. Dr Dennis plans to improve school infrastructure as one of his top priorities. This includes providing schools with access to clean water, electricity, and internet.
Introduce innovative teaching methods: The world is changing rapidly, and the education system needs to change with it. Dr Dennis plans to introduce innovative teaching methods that will prepare students for the future. This includes using technology in the classroom and incorporating project-based learning.
Make education more accessible to all children: There are still many children in Edo State who do not have access to a quality education. If elected Governor of Edo state, Dr Dennis will make education more accessible to all children, regardless of their background. This includes providing free or subsidized education to all children.
