Popular content creator and skitmaker, Mark Angel, has opened up about the incredibly difficult year he faced in 2024.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Mark, whose real name is Mark Angel Osiberu, revealed that he lost a staggering $3.7 million in forex trading, which ultimately led him into significant debt.
Mark described how this financial setback triggered one of the most challenging periods of his life. His properties were seized by loan sharks, and he found himself overwhelmed by the pressure of mounting debt, leaving him feeling hopeless.
Despite undergoing therapy to help him heal, he faced another blow: a scandal that not only affected his career but also forced him to confront the reality of who his true friends were. He acknowledged that this experience revealed fake friends and pretenders but also helped him grow closer to God, teaching him valuable lessons in resilience, faith, and the power of divine grace.
In his emotional post, Mark expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of those who stood by him during this dark period. He thanked his family, friends, pastor, ex-wife, daughters, and social media manager for their encouragement and assistance.
He shared, “The year 2024 began like every other year, but I had no idea how much it would test me, how much it would break me, yet ultimately reshape me. It was the year I lost everything. I trusted the wrong hands in forex and lost all my money. Nobody knew except my family and closest circle. The weight of the loss, over $3.7 million was suffocating. I was drowning in debts, and one by one, I watched all my properties slip into the hands of loan sharks. It felt like my world was crumbling, and in my darkest moments, I considered ending it all.
“But God… If not for His mercies, I wouldn’t be here writing this. He sent angels into my life when I needed them the most.”
