Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated his predecessors in office, Mr Rauf Aregbesola and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, on the conferment of national honours on them by the president, Maj. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (retd).
Adeleke in a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo on Sunday, also felicitated with the music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, for the national honour conferred on him by the president.
According to him, the award was a recognition of the noble and immense contributions of the recipients to the growth and development of Osun State and Nigeria in general.
Adeleke added that all the awardees were worthy ambassadors of the state and noted that Osun was proud of them all.
The statement further read, “I sincerely congratulate all the Indigenes of Osun who bagged different national awards. This is indeed in recognition of their noble and immense contributions to the growth and development of Osun, as well as Nigeria.
“They have all distinguished themselves in different ways and areas to have been recognized by the President and such deserves to be celebrated.
“I must say that they all are worthy ambassadors of our dear state and as the Governor I am proud of them, Osun is proud of them.”
