AS the build up and D-Day for Edo State Local Government Election continue to draw near, Ahonsi Louis Kayode has vowed that the impact of LGA administration must be felt by all, describing this season as a golden opportunity for the youth and the people of the local government.
This celebrated Computer Scientist and investor hails from Ukhuse-Oke, Ward 6 in the LGA.
Kayode, an employer of labour with over 70 percent of his investments and employees located and resident in the Owan West, remains a visionary and committed youth whose one major desire is to give his ALL to the people at the grassroot.
When contacted on what he hopes to do for the LGA , when elected, he said, “I am out to advance the course of this local government economically, through agriculture, hospitality, lumbering and real estate investment.
“I have been training countless youths in timber business.
“For avoidance of doubt, I have a large cassava and plantain farm at Ozalla, maize farm at my Ukhuse Ward, a massive sawmill that aids my timber business and a timber processing centre and sawmill at Uzebba, Ward 10.
“Considering the need to create jobs, I have also established pig farm in Ward 4 Sabongidda-Ora, which has advanced the economy of the LGA and also as employment opportunities for the people.
It is worthy of note that, this vibrant young man
in a bid to advance the economy of Iuleha, built an event center, night club and lounge in Uzebba (Ward 10).
He also built his first residential house in Sabongidda-Ora because of his relationship with the Ora people where he had both his primary and secondary education respectively.
He is a sport loving person and one of the founding fathers of All Stars Football club and was part of the Owan West All Stars Team that won the Senator Osunbor Cup 2004 and the Chief Joe Edionwele Cup in 2008, respectively.
Knowing the place of sports in societal growth, he had continued to render support in any sports activities that take place in the LGA till date.
“I have assisted good number of youths to relocate to Abuja and outside the nation in search of greener pasture and today, they are doing well.
” I also have personally been paying tuition fees for tertiary university students and funded their academic projects.
“All these show that I am ready to serve my people.
“We missed it in the past by bringing on board those who did not have the people at heart. I am a grassrooter and cannot afford to fail these so GREAT people that yearn for true leadership.”
In party politics, Kayode Ahonsi remains a humble and dedicated PDP member, who has consistently deployed his resources to advance the course of the party at all times.
Speaking further on his contributions to the success and development of the party, Kayode noted that, “my role in the 2020 Edo State governorship election as Owan west PDP Security Chairman, crucial discussion, brainstorming of ideas on the way forward during the last meeting with the Governor when he visited the LGA, and my role in mobilizing the Iuleha voters to deliver the PDP House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, remain testaments to my desire in ensuring overall success of our great party.
“I stopped opposition party from bringing foreigners into the LGA to rig the election against the Governor 2020 and also, in trying to repeat same during the just concluded EDHA elections.”
His Ward 6 comprises Ivbiughuru, Ukhuse-Oke, Osi, Ohia and Iloje. The communities are very rich in Quarry, cocoa and plantain production. His emergence, no doubt will change the face of the Council considering his personality and knowledge of agricultural economics and Computer technology, which are currently driving the world today.
