Mohammed stated this yesterday while Speaking to Sunday Leadership on the socio-economic doldrums hampering the progress of the state.
Sarkin Shanu who took the responsibility of steering the affairs of the association to attain greatness since the demise of its Chairman, Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa of blessed memory, said since the passing away of the renowned political actor and business mogul, nothing had stopped.
He said the KCC had continued with the laudable social interventions and mobilization of traders, youths, and women to enable them to rise up to their responsibilities and do things that would bring fame to the state.
” In accomplishing a similar task, the KCC even met with the Chairman of NDLEA and former Governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, and discussed youth restiveness and the reasons behind their involvement in drug abuse,  which he obliged to promptly assist the association to achieve its goal of curbing the menace,”he said.
The Chairman said it was wrong to assume that the KCC had died with its former Chairman, adding,” its not true, in fact, the association is even becoming stronger by the day.We are doing our best to bring in new initiatives and fresh ideas that would make Kano stand taller amongst its peers.”
On his part,  the Vice Chairman of KCC, Engineer Muhammad Barodo, said the association had so far met with industrialists and Manufacturers of different kinds of goods in the state and assisted them with useful advice on how to go about their normal businesses.
“We have also interfaced with politicians at various levels and warned them on the dangers of hate speech and anything that could jeopardize the relative peace being enjoyed in the state.
“We drew their attention to the need to be  peaceful and exhibit good moral conducts while politicking  and as well  encouraged  them to carry out their activities without    rancour,”Barodo added.
