The Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki has lost his polling unit, ward, Local government and Senatorial district to Labour Party (LP) in the Presidential and National Assemblies election in he state.
Hobnob News reports recall that governor Obaseki who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had assured the party in Delta State to deliver Edo State votes for the PDP at least with 1.5 million votes but all is now wishy-washy.
Hobnob News reports also gathered that the governor has earlier given a marching order to members of his cabinets and SSAs to deliver their wards and units but unfortunately for the governor, he could not lead by an example.
According to the results declared by the district returning officer Prof. A. Obasuyi, the Labour party’s candidate, won the Senatorial seat with 167,250
Imasuen defeated the All Progressives Party’s candidates and that of PDP, who polled 57,933 and 61,749 respectively.
Also in the Oredo federal constituency, The LP candidate, Mr. Iyawe Eseosa also won the Oredo federal constituency seat.
