THE newly elected president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a recent interview has made known to Edolites that he is collecting Edo from Obaseki’s PDP.
World War 3 looms as the race for will be the next Governor of Edo State 2024 draws closer. More politicians have declared interest to run under the All Progressive Congress which includes two clergymen, Clem Agba, Osunbor, Ize Iyamu, and Dennis Idahosa amongst others and jostle to bag support from the President-elect.
Recall that the current seating Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki who was given the position in 2016 by Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, fought against his Godfather, decamped to the People’s Democratic Party got support from Edolites who claimed “Edo Nor Be Lagos”.
Obaseki/ Philip Shaibu disgraced opposition party flagbearer, Ize-Iyamu, the former Governor of the State, Adams Oshiomhole and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Guber polls after he won his re-election bid.
Asiwaju in a recent interview has made it known to his party members and Nigerians that he is coming to collect Edo State as the President of Nigeria, come May 29th and give it to the All Progressive Congress.
The game has begun, take note this is the first time a politician is actually president, the rest have been technocrat.
In his words, he said:
“You know me well, you know Adams Oshiomhole win, we are still going to fight for that, don’t worry we are with you will not work alone.”
“One thing I can assure you, do you want Edo back , as the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, i will give Edo back to you, Edo will turn to a beautiful, if not more beautiful than Lagos it will be equal to Lagos, we are sure of that.”
