Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, held a private meeting in Kano during Obasanjo’s official visit to the state.
The meeting took place on Thursday, with Kwankwaso’s media aide, Saifullahi Hassan, revealing the development in a post on Friday. He said the former Kano governor paid a courtesy visit to Obasanjo at his temporary residence in Kano.
Kwankwaso was accompanied by former Deputy Governor of Kano State and the NDC governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Aminu Gwarzo.
According to Hassan, Obasanjo and Kwankwaso engaged in warm and constructive discussions during the visit. However, neither of the two political figures disclosed the issues discussed at the closed-door meeting.
