Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has responded to allegations by Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Judy Austin, who claimed that the actor had prevented him from seeing his children.
Reacting to the accusation on his social media platform on Friday, Edochie dismissed the claims, insisting that he has never interfered in matters relating to Obasi’s access to his children.
According to the actor, some of his followers had reached out to him, urging him to allow Obasi to see his children. However, he maintained that the issue was not his responsibility and should be addressed directly with Judy Austin.
“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘pls allow him to see his children’,” Edochie wrote.
“I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children.
“In this era of social media, people prefer chasing clout and chasing social media money with my name, rather than doing the right thing.”
The actor further advised Obasi to contact his former wife directly if he wished to discuss access to the children.
“Tell him to call his ex-wife. If he wants to see or take his children, let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me,” he added.
The development comes amid ongoing public discussions surrounding the relationship between Edochie and Judy Austin, which has continued to attract significant attention on social media.
Neither Emmanuel Obasi nor Judy Austin had publicly responded to Edochie’s remarks as of the time of filing this report.
