The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that its zoning arrangement for National Working Committee (NWC) positions will remain in place ahead of the party’s 2026 National Convention.
In a statement on Monday in Abuja, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the decision aims to guide aspirants and promote stability as the party prepares for its internal elections.
Morka emphasized that the zoning formula outlined in the 2026 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses, National Convention, and Related Activities will be strictly applied during the convention.
“The existing zoning arrangement for National Working Committee positions across states within the geo-political zones remains valid and applicable to the upcoming National Convention,” the statement said.
Aspirants seeking national offices have been advised to strictly adhere to the zoning framework when obtaining and submitting their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
According to the APC, maintaining the zoning structure will ensure fairness, balance, and orderliness in the party’s internal processes ahead of the convention.
