Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli government has ordered the immediate and temporary closure of all its diplomatic missions worldwide as it intensifies a full-scale military operation against Iran, according to an official statement released by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Friday.
In a move reflecting the growing tensions in the Middle East, the ministry announced that consular services would be unavailable to Israeli citizens abroad during this period. Citizens currently outside the country have been urged to fill out an online form updating their location and status.
The ministry also advised Israelis overseas to exercise extreme caution, urging them to avoid displaying any national symbols, refrain from sharing personal details or travel plans on social media, and stay away from large gatherings or public events associated with Israel.
This development comes just hours after Israel reportedly launched a wide-scale military assault targeting dozens of strategic sites in Iran, including nuclear facilities. Iranian media confirmed that the strikes led to the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian military officials, including the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Mohammad Bagheri, and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Commander, Hossein Salami.
The aggressive military action has sparked outrage in Tehran. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has vowed a strong and inevitable retaliation, warning Israel of dire consequences. “You have sown the wind, and now you shall reap the whirlwind. Israel has prepared a bitter fate for itself,” Khamenei declared.
As the international community closely watches developments, fears of a broader regional conflict continue to grow. The situation remains tense, with both nations seemingly bracing for further escalation.
