On Saturday, December 7, 2024, a staggering 45,689 candidates participated in a Computer-Based Aptitude Test as part of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) recruitment process. This marks the second stage of a rigorous exercise launched earlier this year to fill various positions within the energy giant.
The tests are being conducted across multiple centers nationwide, including the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource Centre in Maitama, Abuja. The recruitment drive, announced on July 25, 2024, is one of the largest since NNPCL transitioned into a limited liability company in 2022.
NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, visited one of the test centers and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to a transparent, fair, and inclusive selection process. Provisions have also been made to accommodate applicants with disabilities, underscoring NNPCL’s dedication to equal opportunity employment.
The NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, emphasized that only the most qualified candidates from the pool of 45,689 applicants would progress to the next stage. “This recruitment process is transparent and designed to attract the best talent for our organization,” he stated.
This exercise has attracted nationwide attention as hopeful candidates aim to secure coveted roles in one of Nigeria’s leading energy companies.
