The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has once again postponed its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which was previously scheduled for November 28th, 2024. This decision was made to allow party leaders to attend the funeral of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.
According to the party’s National Secretary, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, the National Working Committee (NWC) took this decision after realizing that the funeral ceremony, scheduled for November 27th-29th, 2024, coincided with the NEC meeting dates.
This postponement marks the latest development in the ongoing crisis within the PDP. The NEC meeting was initially scheduled for August, but has been postponed multiple times, with previous dates set for September, October 2, and November 28.
The new date for the NEC meeting is yet to be announced, and party leaders have apologized for any inconvenience caused by the postponement. As the PDP continues to navigate its internal crisis, all eyes are on the party’s next move.
