His Royal Majesty, the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his successful swearing-in as the Executive Governor of Edo State on November 12, 2024.
In a statement by Frank Irabor, Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council, the Oba expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s leadership, highlighting his extensive experience as both a businessman and politician. “With His Excellency’s vast wealth of experience, we are certain that he will excel in this role and fulfill his mandate to the people of Edo, both at home and in the Diaspora,” the Oba stated.
The Oba also urged the governor to lead an inclusive government focused on improving the welfare of all citizens. “I urge His Excellency to operate a government that is all-inclusive, aimed at enhancing the lives of everyone in the state,” he added.
In closing, His Royal Majesty offered prayers for Okpebholo’s success, asking for divine guidance to help him lead Edo State to greater development.
