In a significant blow to Hezbollah, Israel’s military announced the killing of Nabil Qaouk, a senior commander of the Lebanese-based terrorist organization.
According to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Qaouk was targeted in a precision strike in Lebanon.
“Nabil Qaouk was directly involved in planning and executing terrorist operations against Israel,” said an IDF spokesperson.
Hezbollah confirmed Qaouk’s death, calling him a “martyr” and vowing to retaliate.
Qaouk’s killing comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with recent clashes along the Lebanon-Israel border.
This strike marks the latest in a series of targeted killings of high-ranking Hezbollah officials by Israel.
“Hezbollah’s continued aggression will be met with decisive action,” stated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
International community urges restraint amid escalating tensions in the region.
