In a heartfelt and uplifting speech, Betsy Obaseki, wife of Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, shared her personal experience with infertility and offered words of comfort to women who have faced similar challenges.
Speaking to a gathering, Mrs. Obaseki acknowledged the pain and struggles that come with miscarriages, stillbirths, and the loss of unborn children. However, she emphasized that these experiences do not define a woman’s worth or her ability to be a mother.
“You are not barren,” she declared. “I dare to call you fruitful. You and I are potential and proud mothers of children that will come in God’s time.”
Mrs. Obaseki encouraged women to focus on living their lives and making a positive impact on society, rather than getting bogged down by their challenges. “Enjoy the life God has given you,” she said. “Take your mind off your challenge, and before you know it, children will start coming.”
Her inspiring message emphasized the importance of resilience, hope, and living a purposeful life.
