The Chairman of antigraft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has accused former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello of misusing public funds.
He alleged that Yahaya Bello withdrew $720,000 from the government account to pay his child’s school fees in advance through a Bureau de Change operator.
This revelation comes amidst ongoing investigations into Bello’s financial dealings, which have raised concerns about corruption and abuse of power.
The EFCC has been scrutinizing Bello’s transactions, and this latest discovery has sparked further questions about his handling of public funds during his tenure as governor.
