A leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and former governorship aspirant in Abia State, Sir Chikwe Udensi has accused the state government of hastily commissioning the Aba Geometric Power Project solely for the sake of receiving credit.
Speaking on the “Open Parliament” current affairs program, Udensi expressed concern that the project, recently inaugurated by Vice President Kashim Shettima, was premature and amounted to a publicity stunt.
Despite the government’s claim of success, Udensi, who stays in touch with Aba residents, asserted that feedback indicates a lack of power, contradicting the project’s purported functionality.
He urged the government to exercise patience, waiting until the project is fully operational before commissioning it.
Udensi also commended the support of former governors, including Orji Uzor Kalu, T.A Orji, and Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, in bringing the project to fruition.
