The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has been given a directive by President Bola Tinubu to construct 5,000 Housing Units in every state of the Federation for low income earners. This announcement was made by the newly appointed FHA Executive Director, Dr. Matthias Byuan, during an inauguration reception held at the home of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.
In a statement by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Benue State Publicity Secretary, Dan-Morgan Ihomun, Dr. Byuan assured that the FHA would work to deliver the housing units to Nigerians in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Tinubu-led administration.
Dr. Byuan expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and also commended Sen. Akume for his leadership and support in facilitating his appointment. He urged Nigerians to support the administration’s efforts to improve the lives of the citizens, assuring that despite challenges, the administration would bring positive change.
Elder statesman Simon Shango, Chairman of Benue APC Elders Council, and former Senatorial candidate Lady Helen Atom praised Sen. Akume for his dedication to Benue State and his role in securing the appointment of Dr. Byuan. They called for prayers for Dr. Byuan’s success in his new role.
With this directive from President Tinubu, the FHA is set to embark on a major housing project that aims to provide affordable housing options for low income earners across the country. This initiative is part of the administration’s commitment to improving living standards and promoting economic growth.
