In typical Biggie style, Season 8 of Big Brother Naija kicked off with a bang as fans were introduced to the journey they all know and love by seeing a familiar face in an all-too memorable setting.
“Ebuka, you’ve been here before”, were the famous first words echoed by the be-all and end-all in charge of the House, and that’s Big Brother of course, as he asked well-known media personality, former #BBNaija Housemate, fashion dripper himself and Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka a few questions before proceedings began.
To officially kick things off, trending Nigerian musician and songwriter, Kcee got the live audience off their seats with an upbeat performance that certainly turned up the energy to amplified levels.
The All Stars made an impact in their respective appearances in Biggie’s house over the past years, and each of them will have the privilege of being treated like royalty in their luxury Biggieverse house, where they’ll get to showcase themselves all over again, meet old friends, forge new relationships and compete for a whooping 120 Million Naira. Among those unveiled on Sunday are Cee cee, Mercy, Kiddwaya, Frodd, Pere, Angel, Neo, Alex, Tolanibaj, Cross, Seyi, Whitemoney, Uriel, Doyin, Princess, Soma, Ike Ilebaye, Venita and Adekunle.
Eyes on the prize
As each of the returning All Stars walked out to an uproar of excited fans, they went through the usual drill as host Ebuka through a few jabs and stole a moment to catch up. Some housemates have been away from the #BBNaija house longer than others and it was all things love lessons, future plans and the common thread – nothing else but winning the money.
Moods and vibes
From CeeC’s moment of showing “face” right in front of the camera as the first contestant to enter the house, to former See Gobe ulumni, Soma and Uriel embracing each other for a hot second, Neoenergy making a run for Venita as the doors to the house opened as well as a somewhat awkward silence when former Level Up housemate Adekunle walked in, it’s game on.
What with former Pepper Dem and Shine Ya Eye winners, Mercy Eke and Whitemoney making a comeback and being the last ones in? It’s safe to say that the All Stars’ outfits would make it into any #OOTD list, but of course, there was an air of mixed emotions because this is Africa’s biggest reality TV after all.
Let the games begin!
As we prepare for an exhilarating 71 days of nonstop action, who will you be rooting for this All Stars season?
