On behalf of myself and the entire Dennis Aikoriogie campaign Organization, I Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie (DOA), the SERVANT-LEADER and a gubernatorial aspirant under the Labour Party of Nigeria, Edo State wishes Nigeria a very HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION.
I also want to enjoin everyone of us who believes in Nigeria and the potentials it wields in the affairs of the World to keep faith with the nation and our capacity to overcome every obstacle we are currently facing, all in our quest to create a new Nigeria that will become the BRIDE and PRIDE of all people on the surface of earth.
While we embark on our various celebrations, we should remember that Democracy Day is celebrated every year to mark the handover of power from the Military dictatorship to civilian leadership in 1999. This has coincided with the longest run of democratic practice in our country, the day formerly celebrated every May 29th of each year, has since been changed to June 12th by President Muhammadu Buhari to honour the June 12th election of 1993 and it’s Icon Chief MKO Abiola, who won the Presidential election adjudged to be the freest and fairest election ever held in Nigeria democratic history.
Once again, Happy Democratic Day Celebration to the good people of Nigerian in general and Edo State in particular.
