Troops of Sector 7 under Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a Fulani youth leader over his alleged involvement in a recent terrorist attack on Naridon Community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect, identified as Zakari Yahu Adamu, was apprehended on Wednesday at Fadan Chanwe in Kauru LGA following intelligence-led investigations into the deadly attack.
According to the sources, Adamu, who is said to be a Fulani youth leader in the area, is currently being investigated over his alleged connection to the terrorist incident that occurred in Naridon Community.
The sources noted that the suspect remains in custody while investigators work to determine the extent of his involvement and identify other individuals who may have participated in or facilitated the attack.
They explained that the arrest is part of ongoing intelligence-driven operations being conducted by Operation Enduring Peace to track down perpetrators of violent attacks and improve security across affected communities in Kaduna State.
The operation, according to the sources, underscores the commitment of security forces to dismantling criminal networks, bringing those responsible for acts of violence to justice, and restoring peace in vulnerable communities across the state.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the investigation, while security agencies continue efforts to apprehend other suspected collaborators linked to the Naridon attack.
