A United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has said that the United States will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general election and the manner in which the electoral process is conducted.
Moore made the statement during an interview on Noire TV on Saturday when he was asked whether he was aware of Nigeria’s forthcoming general election and if the United States could provide any political support.
Responding to the question, the congressman said the United States would be paying close attention to the 2027 polls.
“We will be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 election,” Moore stated.
He added that the United States would closely observe both the outcome of the election and the way the polls are conducted.
“We are certainly going to be watching these results and how these elections will unfold and how they are executed, and that’s something that myself and my administration will pay very close attention to,” he said.
Moore’s remarks come as political activities and preparations for Nigeria’s 2027 general election continue to gather momentum, with both domestic and international observers expected to keep a close watch on the electoral process.
