On behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, Makurdi, I, Dr. Martins Moses Agena, KSJI, congratulate His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, PhD, Executive Governor of Benue State, and all Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day, 12th June, 2026.
As we commemorate this important national event, we celebrate the enduring values of democracy, unity, justice and good governance. Democracy Day offers an opportunity to reflect on our collective journey as a nation and to renew our commitment to the ideals that promote peace, development and national progress.
Akawe Torkula Polytechnic, Makurdi remains committed to its mandate of providing quality technical and vocational education, fostering innovation, and producing graduates equipped to contribute meaningfully to the development of Benue State and Nigeria at large.
