“Despite How Bad Buhari’s Administration Was, He Completed His Tenure” — Sunday Igboho Questions Opposition Against Tinubu

Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, has questioned what he described as growing attempts to prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from completing his tenure in office.

Speaking during a recent engagement, Igboho compared the treatment being faced by Tinubu’s administration with that of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to him, despite the widespread criticism, insecurity, and economic hardship experienced during Buhari’s administration, the former president was allowed to complete his eight-year tenure without major resistance aimed at removing him from office.

“Despite how bad Buhari’s administration is, he completed his tenure. Why are they trying to stop a Yoruba man, Tinubu, from completing his?” Igboho stated.

The remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with supporters agreeing with his position while critics argued that political accountability should not be linked to ethnicity.

President Tinubu, who assumed office in 2023, has continued to face criticism over the country’s economic situation, rising inflation, insecurity, and the effects of fuel subsidy removal.

However, supporters of the administration insist that ongoing reforms need more time to yield positive results.
