Heavy security presence has been mounted around the Federal High Court, Abuja, as the court prepares to deliver judgment today (Wednesday) in the case concerning the deadly terror attack on the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, in Ondo State.

The trial, which has drawn significant public attention, involves five accused persons arraigned by the Department of State Services (DSS) over their alleged involvement in the violent incident that shocked the nation.

Security operatives were strategically deployed within and around the court premises early in the day, with access tightly controlled to ensure order and prevent any disruption during proceedings.

The accused persons are expected to learn their fate as the court delivers judgment on their alleged complicity in the attack, which left several worshippers dead and many others injured.

The case, being heard at the Federal High Court, Abuja, has been closely followed since its commencement, given the national and religious sensitivity surrounding the incident at the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo.

The prosecution by the Department of State Services is expected to argue that the defendants played varying roles in the planning or execution of the attack, while the defence has consistently maintained their innocence throughout the trial.

As the nation awaits the judgment, security remains visibly tightened, reflecting the gravity of the case and its implications for justice and national security.
