E-Money Confirms ₦50m Reward for Carter Efe After Victory Over Portable at Celebrity Boxing Event

Lagos-based businessman and socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has confirmed that he will fulfil his ₦50 million pledge to social media comedian Carter Efe following his victory in a celebrity boxing match against street-hop artiste Habeeb Badmus, also known as Portable.

The bout took place on Friday night at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, during the “Chaos in the Ring 4” event.

E-Money reaffirmed his commitment at the close of the event after being prompted by Ezekiel Adamu, Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group Promotions. Congratulating Carter Efe on his performance, E-Money stated, “You know we put our money where our mouth is, and so congratulations Carter on your win. ₦50 million for you.”

Carter Efe secured a unanimous decision victory over Portable after three rounds of action. The fight followed weeks of heated verbal exchanges between both entertainers, with Portable boasting ahead of the match that he would claim a third celebrity boxing title.

Portable had previously defeated actors Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, earning two belts. Confident going into the bout, he declared Carter Efe would be his next conquest.

However, the fight unfolded differently. While Portable opened aggressively with wild punches, Carter Efe maintained control using his height and reach advantage. Over the second and third rounds, Carter Efe landed cleaner combinations, while Portable struggled with wide swings and frequent clinching.

All three judges scored the contest 27-30 in favour of Carter Efe, sealing his unanimous victory and crowning him the celebrity boxing champion.

Speaking after the event, Adamu expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that the show met expectations. “We promised Chaos in the Ring and we have delivered very entertaining fights tonight. There is more coming. Thanks to everyone that made this a success and to the fighters for the great display,” he said.

The bout has since generated widespread reactions on social media, with fans praising the competitiveness of the match and E-Money’s commitment to rewarding the winner.
