Two prominent political figures, and , are set to formally defect from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) today (Sunday), in a move that could significantly reshape the political landscape ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The development comes despite earlier denials surrounding their planned defection. According to an invitation circulated to journalists via the NDC Media WhatsApp Group, the official declaration ceremony is scheduled to hold by 2:00 p.m. in .
Both leaders are expected to be received by the National Leader of the NDC and former Governor of Bayelsa State, , alongside the party’s National Chairman, , and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
