The eighty four member inter party 2027 Benue State Governorship Advocacy Group from Kwande and Ushongo local governments has rekindled its determination to pursue the realization of the ambition.
Those who spoke for the group during a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Atsaga Anemba in Ikyobo, Wednesday 8th April, 2026, stressed that the pursuit of the aspiration was the best way to honor the deceased who, as one of its leaders, fought for the cause until he passed.
Barrister Vincent Uji, All Progressives Congress, APC zone A chairman, Chief Joseph Mayange, the party’s Ushongo caucus Chairman, and Lady Veronica Gajir, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, stated that they were determined to pursue the aspiration which the late Atsaga stood for.

The Kwande G84 leaders described the late Chief Atsaga as an industrious farmer and business man, a focused politician and distinguished community leader and promised to stand with his family at all times.
Coordinator of the Kwande Intermediate Area governorship aspirants who supported the group’s advocacy visits, Honorable Terwase Orbunde, stated that the late Chief Atsaga, as one of its founders, pursued the objectives to the end of his life.

He said it was wisdom for the Kwande Intermediate Area to submit to the political leadership of Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, for the realization of the 2027 Governorship aspiration as no politician in the history of Benue State has more experience than him with regard to the making of Governors.
Head of the Vajime Anemba family, Wundu Vajime, expressed appreciation for the visit saying the deceased was someone who always made the family proud.
