Trump says Iran war nearing end, vows tougher strikes as he thanks allies

Donald Trump says the conflict with Iran could wrap up within “two to three weeks,” even as he signals a fresh wave of intense military action.

In his first national address since the fighting began, Trump defended the decision to go to war, arguing that the cost is justified and that the U.S. is close to achieving its goals. He described Iran as significantly weakened and suggested the hardest phase of the conflict may already be over.

Still, he warned Americans to expect stronger strikes in the coming weeks, insisting U.S. forces have already secured fast and decisive victories on the battlefield.

Trump also called on countries that depend on oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz to step up and help protect the vital route.

He ended by thanking key Middle Eastern allies—including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain—promising continued U.S. support and protection.
