President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Nigerians for their goodwill messages, prayers, and support as he marked his 74th birthday.

In a special message released from Aso Rock Presidential Villa on March 29, 2026, the President thanked citizens across the country for their patriotism, solidarity, and continued backing of his administration.

Tinubu also acknowledged individuals and groups who took out newspaper spaces and paid for airtime on radio and television to celebrate him, describing their gestures as deeply appreciated.

The President extended special gratitude to his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind words, as well as to Vice President Kashim Shettima for his tribute.

He noted that, in keeping with his tradition of aligning personal celebrations with the national mood, he chose to observe this year’s birthday in a low-key manner.

Reflecting on the state of the nation, Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced since the introduction of his administration’s reforms but expressed optimism about progress made so far. He stated that the sacrifices of Nigerians were beginning to yield results, pointing to what he described as “a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel,” despite setbacks linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis.

According to the President, the achievements recorded so far are a collective effort involving not just his government and the Renewed Hope team, but all Nigerians.

As his administration approaches its third anniversary, Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to building a brighter future for both present and future generations. He assured citizens of his resolve to tackle the nation’s challenges and called for sustained public support.

The President urged Nigerians to continue working together toward a stronger, more prosperous, and resilient country, expressing confidence that Nigeria would emerge as a pride of Africa.

He concluded his message with appreciation to Nigerians and a light-hearted note marking his 74th birthday.
