The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has announced the temporary closure of all access roads leading to and around the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja in preparation for the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the announcement, the road closures will take effect from Friday, March 27 through Saturday, March 28, 2026. The measure is to facilitate the use of Eagle Square, located near the Secretariat, as the venue for the convention.
Officials stated that the restriction is part of broader security and traffic management arrangements aimed at ensuring a smooth and safe event. Motorists and commuters have been advised to plan alternative routes during the affected period to avoid disruptions.
The APC National Convention is expected to draw party members, delegates, and dignitaries from across the country, prompting heightened logistical coordination in the area.
