A prominent Nigerian cleric, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo of the Church of Christ in Nations, has stunned many with a shocking confession about his past. In a recent interview with a foreign media outlet, Dachomo revealed he was part of a gang that robbed a bank in Jos, Plateau State, in 1980, making away with a substantial amount of money.
Dachomo, who now leads the Church of Christ in Nations, described the experience as life-changing, claiming he encountered Jesus and was transformed. He stated, “I didn’t know that I was operating with 14 demons until Jesus encountered me.” The cleric’s revelation has sparked mixed reactions, with some viewing it as a story of redemption and others questioning its accuracy.
Dachomo’s past has come under scrutiny, and some have accused him of shifting from a “practical, street-level bandit” to a “spiritual bandit”. Despite the controversy, he remains vocal about issues affecting Christians in Nigeria, including alleged genocide and violence in Plateau State.
