Meta Dangles ₦4.2m Monthly to Lure TikTok, YouTube Creators Back to Facebook

Meta is offering creators as much as $3,000 (about ₦4.2 million) a month in a fresh push to bring content—and attention—back to Facebook.

The new programme, dubbed “Content Fast Track,” is aimed squarely at influencers already thriving on platforms like TikTok and YouTube. To qualify for the top payout, creators need at least one million followers elsewhere and must post at least 15 short videos (Reels) each month. Smaller creators can still earn up to $1,000 monthly.

For Meta, it’s a clear attempt to reclaim relevance in the fast-moving world of short-form video, where TikTok and YouTube continue to dominate. The company says it paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025 alone, signalling just how much it is willing to invest to stay competitive.

But not everyone is convinced the strategy will work. Jordan Schwarzenberger, who manages the Sidemen, believes the offer may fall short. According to him, many top creators already earn far more through brand deals and existing platform revenues—and may not see Facebook as worth the extra effort.

There’s also the question of audience loyalty. As Schwarzenberger puts it, people tend to stick with the platforms they already use, meaning creators who jump to Facebook may not necessarily bring their fans along.
