All Progressives Congress Benue Holds State Congress, Affirms Austin Agada-Led EXCO for Fresh Four-Year Term

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has conducted its State Congress, culminating in the unanimous affirmation of the Comrade Austin Agada-led State Executive Committee (EXCO) for another four-year tenure.

The congress attracted statutory delegates, party leaders and stakeholders from across the state and was marked by unity, orderliness and a shared commitment to strengthening party structures at all levels. The exercise followed earlier successful ward and local government congresses, further reinforcing the cohesion of the Benue APC and its loyalty to the party’s national leadership.

Speakers at the event pledged unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and leader of the party in the state, Senator Dr. George Akume, and the Benue State APC Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada. They emphasized that the Benue APC remains united under the leadership structure anchored by Senator Akume, noting that stability within the party is vital for sustained growth and electoral success.

Chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Prof. Iorwuese Hagher, underscored the importance of unity, discipline and loyalty within the party. He urged members to close ranks and work collectively towards consolidating the gains of the APC in Benue State and beyond.

Second Republic Senator and elder statesman, Dr. Jack Tilley Gyado, aligned with other stakeholders in declaring total support for President Tinubu, Senator Akume and the Austin Agada-led EXCO, describing the current leadership as critical to the party’s stability and progress.

Other prominent stakeholders who delivered goodwill messages included Senator Titus Zam (on behalf of the National Assembly Caucus), Hon. Saater Tiseer (on behalf of members of the Benue State House of Assembly), Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN (on behalf of governorship aspirants), Dr. Mathias Byuan, Barr. Pius Akutah and Barr. Mrs. Patricia Kupchi. They reiterated similar sentiments of loyalty and commitment to the party’s leadership at both the state and national levels, urging stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilization across wards and local government areas.

At the conclusion of deliberations, a voice vote was conducted and, in a unanimous decision, delegates affirmed the continuation of the Austin Agada-led State Executive Committee for another four-year term.
