All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in Benue State, Honorable Terwase Orbunde, got the blessings of his kinsmen for the 2027 race when he visited his ancestral home in Mbaketsa ward, Kohov, Kwande local government area.
During the visit on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Orbunde said the visit was to formally inform them of his renewed governorship bid and seek their support.
The former Chief of staff to the Governor, explained that he was in the race to facilitate faster efforts to liberate Benue people from poverty, unemployment, underdevelopment, and insecurity, which he says constitute major challenges of the State.
Speaking for the kinsmen, Elder Haanongon Nguko and Kohol Development Association’s President General praised Orbunde for consulting them.
They assured him of their unwavering support and blessings.
The elders symbolically washed Orbunde’s feet, signifying their endorsement and blessings on him to go forth and succeed.
