The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mr. Sani Musa Daura as his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media.
According to the statement, Sani Daura is a seasoned civil servant with over 30 years of experience in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Protocol Department.
He was appointed Director of FCT Protocol in 2019, a position he has held with distinction, contributing significantly to the coordination and management of official engagements and state functions within the FCT.
Sani Musa Daura is expected to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026, and his new appointment as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters will take effect immediately from the date of his retirement.
The statement noted that the appointment is in recognition of his vast experience, professionalism, and in-depth knowledge of protocol matters, which are expected to further strengthen the effective discharge of official duties in the FCT.
