The Commander, Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST), Major General Nansak Shagaya, has paid a working visit to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), aimed at strengthening collaboration and reinforcing logistics support for effective training at the institution.
Major General Shagaya was warmly received by the Commandant of NASI, Major General Frank Etim, during the visit to the premier infantry training institution of the Nigerian Army.
While addressing officers and personnel, the CCST commended the Commandant for his dedication and unwavering commitment to the training and professional development of Nigerian Army personnel. He stressed that logistics remains a critical enabler of effective training and successful military operations, assuring NASI of his continuous support towards the realization of its mandate.
Major General Shagaya further reiterated his resolve to ensure sustained logistics backing for NASI’s training programmes and exercises, noting that efficient supply and transport systems are vital to building a combat-ready force.
In his remarks, the Commandant, Major General Frank Etim, expressed appreciation to the CCST for the visit and the consistent support provided by the Corps of Supply and Transport. He noted that such engagements further strengthen the synergy between training institutions and the logistics hub of the Nigerian Army.
General Etim reaffirmed NASI’s commitment to training officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army in all aspects of warfare, with particular emphasis on infantry manoeuvre. He assured that the school would continue to leverage the indispensable role of logistics in all training activities and exercises to enhance the operational effectiveness of Nigerian Army personnel.
