Fatima Atiku Abubakar, the first daughter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has formally become a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The former Adamawa State Commissioner for Health was welcomed into the party on Monday in Abuja, where she completed her registration and received her ADC membership card at her ward in the Wuse area of the Federal Capital Territory.
Fatima, a medical professional-turned-politician, was received by the FCT Chairman of the ADC, Chief Clement Oba Ehigiator, alongside the party’s AMAC chairman and other key stakeholders.
She expressed enthusiasm about joining the party, which is currently serving as a platform for a coalition of opposition figures working to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
