First Power Electricity Company Limited has held a Performance Recognition Ceremony to celebrate the contributions of outstanding staff, charging employees to remain diligent and place customers at the centre of all their dealings.
First Power, a subsidiary of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) is in charge of electricity distribution in Anambra State.
Speaking at the event, which held at the firm’s corporate office in Awka, Anambra State, the Managing Director of First Power, Okechukwu Okafor, commended the outstanding employees for their efforts, while urging them to remain diligent, disciplined, and unwavering in placing customers at the centre of all operations.
He stressed that sustainable progress for the company lies in consistently choosing the right path and always prioritising customers.
According to him, embracing “a more difficult right rather than an easier wrong” is critical to building trust, improving service delivery, and securing a brighter future for the organisation and its workforce.
The MD further noted that excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction must guide every interaction, adding that performance recognition would remain a key management tool to inspire productivity.
Reaffirming the company’s commitment to improved service delivery to the people of Anambra State, Okafor reassured that the firm would continue to work closely with the Anambra State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Ndi Anambra and industrial groups to improve power supply in the State.
“We are committed to the State’s progress, especially in the power sector. Our focus is on the customer because the customer is the platform for our success,” he added.
