A student at the Nigerian Law School, Yola campus, Ayomiposi Ojajuni, has tragically taken his life after allegedly being prevented from participating in the crucial Bar Final examinations.
Ojajuni, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, reportedly became distressed on Saturday, December 6, when he learned he had been barred from sitting for the professional examinations, which were scheduled to commence that morning.
Disciplinary Action Cited
Sources confirmed to Hobnob News that shortly after receiving the news of the restriction, Ojajuni was said to have ingested a harmful substance.
Further findings suggest that the decision to bar him from the examination was related to prior disciplinary measures, including multiple queries that had previously been issued to him by the institution’s management.
Ojajuni was rushed to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola following the incident but tragically passed away on Sunday.
The event casts a spotlight on the intense pressure faced by students seeking professional certification and the impact of disciplinary actions within the demanding academic environment of the Nigerian Law School.
